| 11 November 2008 - Publicity Matters celebrate after winning top PR Award | |||
Innovative Bristol-based public relations, web and graphic design agency, Publicity Matters, has won a Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) award for its PR contract with APT Servizi, the tourist board of Emilia-Romagna, Italy.
Publicity Matters won a silver award for ‘Best use of Media Relations’ at the glittering CIPR West of England PRide Awards held in the Mercure Holland House Hotel and Spa in Bristol. Publicity Matters beat several other top South West communications agencies including JBP and Brandon Hill Communications, in one of the most hotly contested categories of the night. The award was presented to the team by Jon Day, Fellow of the CIPR and a previous Chair of the West of England region. Director Rob Cave commented: “This is a fantastic achievement for Publicity Matters. It shows we can compete against larger agencies on national campaigns and produce successful, award winning results.” Publicity Matters were appointed in autumn 2007 by APT Servizi and tasked with challenging the British media’s perception of Rimini, after it was named the ‘Blackpool of Italy’ by a national newspaper. The project also encompassed celebration of the spas and sweeping landscapes of the neighbouring picturesque province of Forli-Cesena. Headlines such as ‘Rimini Returns from the Brink’ have been featured in top UK news and consumer titles including The Times, Thomas Cook Travel and Best Magazine, publications which now celebrate the resort as a centre for culture, cuisine and history. |
